Class Saints
All classes in our school have a class saint. Our class saints in Year 3/4 are St Anthony, St Joseph and St David.
Homework
Homework is set on class DoJo every Friday and is handed in the following Wednesday. We use MyMaths, an online programme where you can complete homework and practise all aspects of maths or a Reading Comprehension every other week (logins for MyMaths have already been given to your child. Please keep this information safe. You will need it throughout the school year). We also give a times table challenge sheet and a handwriting sheet linked to the week's spellings every week.
Please encourage your child to read regularly and record their reading in their Home / school record book which is to be brought in every Monday.
It is important for children to practise their times tables using the times table challenge sheet provided each week in preparation for the Times Table Challenge on a Thursday.
PE
Our PE day is Thursday. Children should wear their PE kit to school on that day. They should bring spare socks during the colder months. Swimming will take place in the Summer term.
Forest School
Forest School will run on a termly basis, where the children will spend a full day in our forest school area. Dates will be provided via class DoJo nearer the time.
Sacramental Preparation
This year, Year 3 will prepare for their First Sacraments. Dates for meetings have been sent out to parents.
