Class Saints

All classes in our school have a class saint. Our class saints in Year 3/4 are St Anthony, St Joesph and St Bernadette.

Homework

Homework is set on class DoJo every Friday and is handed in the following Wednesday. We use MyMaths, an online programme where you can complete homework and practise all aspects of maths. Logins for MyMaths have already been given to your child. Please keep this information safe. You will need it throughout the school year. We also give Grammar, punctuation and spelling homework or Reading Comprehension every other week and a handwriting sheet linked to the weeks spellings every week.

Please encourage your child to read regularly and record their reading in their Home / school record.

It is important for children to practise their times tables using the times table challenge sheet provided each week.

PE

Our PE day is Thursday. Children should wear their PE kit to school on that day. They should bring spare socks during the colder months. Swimming will take place in the Summer term.

Music

Starting this term, every Thusday morning Year 4 pupuls will have the opportunity to participate in clarinet lessons led by a music specialist from Edsentia.  Each child will be allocated an individual instrument, which they are responsible for. They will need to bring it in to school every Thursday and take it home to practise each week.

Forest School

Forest School will run on a half termly basis where the children will spend a full day in our forest school area, dates will be provided via class DoJo nearer the time.

Sacramental Preparation

This year, Year 3 will prepare for their First Sacraments. Dates for meetings have been sent out to parents.
