School Meals
All children in Reception, years 1 and 2 receive a school lunch free of charge. If you receive certain benefits, your child/ren may be entitled to free school meals regardless of age, and the school can receive additional Pupil Premium funding – see below.
The cost of a school meal from 1st September 2023 will be £2.73 per day / £13.65 per week for children in years 3,4,5 and 6. Meals are to be chosen in advance by parents with their child online via ParentPay, upto 3 weeks in advance. Payment for your child's meals must be made in advance via ParentPay as meals cannot be chosen or issued if there is insufficient money on your account.
Children may have a school meal or bring a packed lunch. We encourage our children to make healthy food choices and ask that packed lunches do not contain fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate bars.
Our menus run over a three-week period. Our catering provider is Edsential. Our school Catering Supervisor, can be contacted via school. All allergens/intolerances as reported to school are fed through to the kitchen, please see the allergen information below. If you require any further information about this, please email us. If your child does have a food allergy you will need to complete a form and submit this to school.

Applying for Free School Meals

Your child may be entitled to receive free school meals if you are entitled to receive one of the following:
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- The Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit, provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual income that does not exceed £16,190.
- Universal Credit (Provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400)
If you are eligible, this provides additional funding to school and also to support your child through financial contributions towards trips, residentials, clubs.
