Werbies Out of School Club
A very warm welcome to Werbies!
Werbies provide a safe and secure place where children can be curious, inventive, interested and explore in a caring environment where strong relationships with peers and adults ensure they blossom.
St Werburgh's and St Columba's Out of School club has been running since September 2001, caring for the children who attend our primary school onsite. Werbies high quality, affordable and accessible childcare provision is available before and after school and during some school holidays.
Hardworking, caring and enthusiastic staff set additional stimulating adult led activities designed to motivate and engage children. Activities focus around children’s varied interests; including arts and crafts, outdoor games, baking and self-awareness sessions. Children are encouraged to join in and master skills to become confident individuals who feel capable of attempting their next challenge.

Some comments from our parent surveys:
“All staff very kind, communicative and professional.”
“The staff are amazing! Such love, patience and I’m so happy with the activities and flexibility. Allows me to work as a single mum its hard without any support, but with Werbies available I’m able to work. It’s a lifesaver for me.”
“I was initially concerned about my child attending holiday club as she did not want to and has had anxieties in the past about clubs where she doesn’t know other children. The activities were fun and the staff were fun.”
